I know full grown coconuts are considered a starch when it comes to food combining, however I love young coconut milk and meat in smoothies that have fruit in them which is a no no on my food combining chart (wolfe clinic).
It does not bother me in anyway that I am aware of but just wondering...
Does anyone know if a young coconut is different the a "grown up" coconut?
Also does anyone know what a sprout is considered? vege? Protein?
thanks!

Hi, i am very sensitive about the having gas if i mix my fruits with anything else except with greens but i truly feel that coconut is perfectly ok with the fruits. I actually made a delicious mango pie with the coconut meat and i didn't have any side effect.
Don't worry about the food combining and just eat what feels appealing to you. As you go along, you may feel the need to change some little thing in your diet but for most part, just the fact that you are eating raw, is absolutely amazing for your beautiful body.
Just go nuts with the nuts, lol.... You will learn and discover the perfect diet for you. At first, you truly don't want to worry about the food combining for you don't want to feel deprive but just listen to your body as you go along.
I personally need to be careful of not mixing my fruits too much but this is just my body having reaction. Most people seems to be perfectly ok. There isn't any rule at all when you eat raw food. You can have a desert as meal if you wish too, lol.... I find now that i need to keep it simple and sometime i need to have this raw gourmet meal. Every body is different and have different needs. Keep trying all kind of foods.
Best wishes on your journey!

well... I know the young coconut has what we call 'scoop meat'. It's soft and you can just scoop it out with a spoon - it's very yummy! (it also has more coconut water/milk) :D The older coconut of course has the 'traditional' coconut meat - hard, chewy and quite delish! but as far as food combining ?? no clue!

Wendy Rudell says in her book "The Raw Transformation" that sprouts are considered a vegetable.
