I like to sneak sea vegetables into stuff as much as possible. Try putting just a teaspoon of kelp into a smoothie; it just disappears, and you could probably increase the amount. Years ago an old hippie told me, when I was complaining I didn't like it, to just keep trying it, that it was important enough to get used to it. I've grown to like it (unlike sardines....) And I'd recommend trying all the different kinds, maybe one will click for you. That lady who owns Crystal Star says two tablespoons of seaweed a day will change your life.

I wasn't a huge fan of dulse when I first tried it either, but I've really come to love the stuff. I eat it straight out of the bag sometimes. I think it's amazing in salads, and lately I've been using dulse flakes as garnish for soups. I'm not sure I've ever tried kelp, though.

thx for the tips..i guess you just have to get used to the taste. i had about 1/3 of a cup tonight with my salad. it was ok but it made me kind of gag. but im def. going to keep eating it bc it has b 12 and other good nutrients which i need.

Once this is used up, I suggest buying and using something you like. Something that is gag-less. I refuse to eat anything that is gonna make me gag. Why? There are so much better tasting ways of eating and enjoying it. Spirulina for one. It's a powder and can be mixed into smoothies and literally you do not taste it.
I want to enjoy eating not gag while doing it. That sounds like something that's gonna set you up for failure.
Like Revvell says, "Play with your food." You can't do that with gag food...

Not to nitpick, not for the least of which is I barely know what I'm talking about, but spirulina is an algae (right?), not a seaweed. I get strangely tired off of it, not like detox tired, but like my body is intolerant of it. I wasn't surprized that spirulina was not recommended for my blood type, A.

Have you tried wakame? I buy it in small pieces.Iit is salty and crunchy straight from the bag ...it does get soft if you let sit for a bit but never slimy...it reminds me of bacon bits but MUCH better. Our two year old even eats it..I eat it with avo-yum and I sprikle on my salad in place of salt. If you like sweet and salty try it with a banana-Hope it helps MamaP
