Hi All,
Im coming off a fast and made up a new shake!!!
I am learning how to make Almond Milks which are just soooo delicious!!! It was the cheesecloth that did it for me.

Strawberry-Orange Nutshake
1 cup raw almond milk
4 strawberries
1/2 orange
1 tspn raw honey

blend up in a blender until fruits are finely pureed. Deeelicious and soo refreshing!!!

I Know!! ARent they just AMAZING!!!! the first time I made nut milk it was just unbelievable!!!
The thought of making milk out of nuts and water...
lol

it really does break down those perceptions and misconceptions we have about food doesnt it!? :D

this totally makes it so much more appealing to stay off cow milk. of course i pretty much stopped buying cow milk last year.
i cant wait to try my raw cereal with homemade almond milk now!!!

hey trinity ,
i am adding the whole flesh of the orange, not just the juice.

Solace,
Not sure i understand your recipe...

Are you dehydrating the buckwheat groat paste for 12 hours and then adding nutmilk as a cereal?

YES:) . Its just a twist on the Buckwheat cereal recipe from the book - Raw food, Real world- using the nut leftovers. I make the milk and cereal the night before put it in at 7pm take it out at 7am or sooo- then add milk to it !Its half buckwheat too:cool:

that buckwheat cereal sounds awesome!!
i goofed and had SAD toast this morning :o but it was sooo good. im doing a parasite cleanse now, the fast i did brought stuff to the surface....and since i started the parasite herbs on monday i have been having cravings for toast and butter!!! :-o im wondering if thats somehow related.
i am debating over an excaliber dehydrator or a new laptop for my next big purchase. a dehydrator will help me stay raw, i really need one.

i dont know if i should go all out for the Xcaliber for a cheaper kind

big decision!!

big decision!! I just have a hand-me-down dehydrator - it works just fine !- you can kinda see it in the picture. I would love a Vita-mix and Alissas New dehydrator- sooooon, but for now a regular blender is working fine, it even does spinach- I was shocked at that ! You could also use your oven on really low to dehydrate- dont let money stop you:) . You will do GREAT!
