Wahoooooo!!!

I have been telling my mother about the green smoothies I make for myself. She jokes about it every time she calls and says Didja have a green smoothie 2 day? Then she says's YUCK! How awful it must be! lol. I always tell her if it was awful I wouldnt be able to consume it each day.

So anyway, one day I call her on her cell and she is at a Natural Food place in the small town she lives in, which is one of the few places organic produce is avail. So I say -- MOM, YOU GOTTA TRY A GREEN SMOOTHIE. LOL... She was like, Oh another day, I was like BUT MOM YOUR IN THE STORE ALREADY. So because she was in a different isle she was like, I will come back another time. Lazy lady! haha. I was laughin, saying just try it --- your there to buy the ingredients. She had all this resistance. There closing, I have to go. They didnt close for 35 minutes. Just walk down to the produce silly lady. So she finally does, and she gets spinach, celery, lemon, banana's. As she is doing this she is telling me on the cell, IM GOING TO THROW UP, WHAT HAPPENS IF I DONT LIKE IT? LOL uh u just dont like it. You wont pass out woman! lol

So she finally goes home. Whips out her smoothie machine for the first time. Im hoping its strong enuff and wont leave chunks, otherwise I know the throw up outcome will come to light. So she blends it...

WALLAH! She lovedddd it! She want's to make one everyday. How freakin cool is that? HAHA. I was telling her I told ya, You cant taste the greens, its like a bonus supplement, It makes the smoothie green, but you cant taste it. I was very proud of her. Yeahhhhoooo!!

That is very cool. Do her another favor. Either buy her, or check out of the library for her Victoria Boutenko's book, "Green for Life". Then she will not only love the taste of GS's, but know how very good for her body they are!

Great idea, Lucy! I told my daughter about your success with raw in treating your hypothyroidism, and have been trying to encourage to start incorporating more green smoothies into her diet. Just got her a blender for her birthday (haven't given it to her yet), so I still have time to go out and get Victoria's book ` Cathy

I learn so much from reading. I did not jump into raw without thoroughly reading and everything I read just made sense. Way more sense then any other "quick fix" diet idea that's out "there". Books on healing and health make wonderful gifts!

I think our Karma goes thru the roof when we pass this on. Now I'm sure my mom will tell friends, HECK she went to the Natural food store, and the guy who works there asked what she was making, and HE WANTED THE RECIPE for the smoothie. HA!

Any extra foods I should tell her about to add in the smoothie to help with her high cholesterol?

Thanks all!

I wish i could get others to try this way of eating. I was at my sisters this last weekend and she tried the one i took along and said it was good but went to eating their sad food. How sad is that. U know most of it does not even smell good to me anymore. I had a smoothie with a grapefruit. They had.........get this and dont get sick.........two fried eggs, two slices of bacon and 2 white pancakes with syrup all over it. My bro in law who had a heartattack last Nov has gained weight instead of losing and he had the huge pancake along with all the others i listed which was made for the big ole fat dog. They had a salad for dinner with meatloaf but the salad was full of nasty dressing. I sat and ate my raw veggies and drank my smoothie.:D It makes it harder and harder for me to eat with sad people as it makes me sad to see them killing themselves.

puffysmom - I hear 'ya. It is so frustrating to watch loved ones do what they do to themselves. I just don't get it. All we can do is hope one day they too will see the light before it is too late. Just keep on educating and informing. It's all we can do.
