I am one of those people who does NOT adore the taste of extra virgin coconut oil, but as a candida sufferer who could use a quicker metabolism, I see the benefits of ingesting it. The trick to making anything a routine is truly making it tasty, I think. Something you desire.
So, I invented "Almond Joys"
The recipe - ROUGHLY
ALMOND JOY
3 Tbsp Coconut oil, liquified (the therapuetic dose)
12 oz Fresh Almond Milk
1 Tbsp Carob Powder/Cacao Powder
3 - 4 Tbsp Agave Nectar, or to taste
(*Optional: a big dash of cinnamon)
The TRICK is that the coconut oil must be LIQUIFIED and the almond milk must be warmed enough to room temperature (in your vitamix or by sitting it out ahead of time. I prefer the Vitamix).
Blend all the ingredients except the coconut oil until smooth and room temperature, then add coconut oil.
Even hardcore coconut oil haters tend to drink it, unknowingly. It tastes like a ridiculous dessert, but check out how GUILT FREE it is!
Note: This drink is a total MEAL. While it won't stuff or bloat you, it is very filling and should be drank alone.
