I have been allergic to almost all nuts for my whole life. I even had extensive bloodwork done (to check specific allergies) in October - 2 months before starting my way into raw.

I just accidentally ate something w/ almonds in it!!!! "No bean humus" from awesomefoods [sold at my local health food store] without reading the ingredients extensively. I know of the few items I can eat of theirs and I did not see ALMONDS listed because it was further down. Anyways, I just ate a bunch of it with my salad - then went to look so I could learn to make it for my self (they use zucchini as the main ingredient, then tahini - it was delicious)... but anyways, IN CONCLUSION. I AM NOT HAVING AN ALLERGIC REACTION!

Typically, my throat could swell up, I'd be wheezing, etc. What the?!?!?

P.S. I have been 100% Raw for only 3 1/2 months. This couldn't have disappeared all of my nut allergies... If only I could eat cashews too!

Great news! Yes, most definitely your raw diet could have healed your "allergies" to nuts. In most cases, allergies are nothing more than a highly toxic system that causes a reaction to various things (oftentimes things found in nature).

WHOA! You don't know how many times I've heard this from folks when I talk to them about being raw. I never know what to say to them. Thanks Rawkinlocs, now I'll be able to give an answer and of course leave it up to them to try raw, but sad to say, I'm betting most won't. They'll be too freaked out...and think medication is their "safe place". I know it's not!
