Canisters?

I know that it's best not to use plastic containers for things and that glass is better..but I just bought some ceramic containers for nuts and stuff (on the counter not the frig) and wanted to know if it was ok to use ceramic?..or does it have problems like plastic does?

I believe ceramic is fine. They make ceramic kraut crocks. I use mason jars. Not dark, but they work great for me.
