Hi have just heard that untoasted nori is not actually raw but heated to 80degrees then briefly toasted. does anyone know of a truly raw nori?

i think the stuff i have says "sundried"
maybe you(we) need a reputable brand....????

I see it at health stores here as raw and/or toasted.
But heck, even Igor Boutenko gave us some extra nori that clearly said toasted on it. I didn't turn it down! (He lines his flat bread with it now, SO addictive!)
Still, I get raw whenever poss. When not, I get toasted organic nori and fill it with raw goodness. Still organic. Still a sea veggie.

Thanks for your replies. Have to say that although disappointd that it's not truly raw, when crammed with raw goodness it can't be that bad;) My fave at the mo is nori spread with cashew cheese and alfalfa n mung bean sprouts and sunflower greens. Delish:D
