ok i finally took the 100% raw plunge and i like it, i just hate the side effects. i literally jumped off the wagon yesterday after 7 raw days because i couldn't take how awful i felt- although the cookies didn't help.
ok the headaches you get when you get the flu, the really bad won't go away kind, is that normal?
and yes i'm raw again, and not glowing!!!!!

Everybody's "normal" is different. Any day I am 100% I get the "flu" within hours - I have alot to detox.

i really have trashed my body with food, so i guess i do have a lot to detox too, but i'd be lying if i didn't say i'm discouraged at the thought of dealing with these headaches the entire time i'm raw... i mean right now i'm so tired, all i do is sleep, this detox is killing me!

Ok, youre raw "again", have a horrible headache & arent getting the glow. I'm thinking your body is in a process right now. I bet you'll MORE than glow once it's over.
Raw is never a sinking spiral.... you have to blow the trash out of the exhaust sometimes before you can soar higher.
LOL!!!

the glow usually doesn't show up after just 7 days. give it time :)
drinking a LOT of water will help
as would colonics/enemas in the beginning
look into it and see if it might be right for you

i get that, but everywhere i turn to read something about detox it makes it seem like the ''normal'' process is only a few days...
what did you guys go though?

My detox was slight headaches, nausea, dizzyness and major congestion, but like someone pointed out before, everybody's normal is different. You're detox will not be the same as mine or RV4H or lucktri's. You also need to remember what someone else pointed out, you are not going to get that glow after 7 days. It takes time to heal, so give your body that time and just be patient. (I know, easier said than done.)

Hi there,
I know it doesn't help to hear this, but everybody's experience with detox is different. It depends upon your age, how toxic your lifestyle was before and your individual make-up and how your body chooses to respond. I would be VERY surprised if you had headaches constantly for longer than a few weeks though, if that helps. :-) More than likely it will not be nearly that long. You may feel better tomorrow! You never know. If you can, eat lightly, drink lots of water and get lots of rest.
IT is worth it!! I promise!
All the best,
Audrey

thanks for the input, and audrey i really like your website, i'm seriously considering looking for a raw food coach if only to have someone else in my life who knows more about raw food than me!
