Okay....
I live in Los Angeles, plenty full land full of raw food choices. One thing I have noticed is... If I go to Whole Foods, their greens are cheaper, vs Erewhon Market, For example at Whole Foods I can get Lacinto Kale for $1.99 per head. If I go to Erewhon it's $2.29... Why? Ere is the smaller store? I guess that doesn't matter. Also the exact same brand of Sea Veggies, at Whole is $3.99, at Ere it's $4.99? I dont get it? lol

maybe because whole foods is bigger and has more of a variety, i guesss. and since the other store is smaller and doesnt have enough of it to sell they have to higher their prices? or maybe its in demand and they can higher their prices bc more people want it. if no one wanted it, it would be cheaper. just a thought..

I find the same, my local organic store is much more expensive than the organics at the local Sobeys. I am so glad its farmers market season. Once I get back from Vegas, I am ONLY shopping at the markets. In Toronto we have a HUGE on every Saturday (St Lawrence Market) that opens at 5am (I am usually there by 6) and theres no people until 8 so I get to pick and choose from tons of local produce. Way cheaper and better quality.
Oh and my WF's is RIDICULOUSLY expensive!! Here its by weight, not by unit.

The bigger stores get a better wholesale price b/c they can purchase in huge quantities. :)

We need to be prepared to pay the little extra if we can, to ensure that the small shop remains so that we will always have the choice.

Yeah. I was at The ERE- again today. Whoa! The same exact Brand of Coconut Oil, same amount at ERE was $19.99 when you can get the same one at WF for $11.99. Also the sea veggies weren't $4.99 they were fricking $ 6.99 same size, brand as WF. I was like NO. Im already spending enuff as is. Also this organic, non chemical bugspray that I wanted, at WF is $5.99, and at ERE it's $10.99, I was like man. Oh well, I like ERE because they have better raw food etc prepared in the fridge section, etc etc. The other stuff, Im sticking with WF. LOL.. either way it works out.
