Wheatgrass Garden

I did a pretty good job growing my wheatgrass.

I forgot to harvest it a day ago...and it grew a mind of it's own:eek:. Can't wait to eat it, though.

What kind of contanier do you have your wheatgrass in? Do you grow it inside? It looks so good.

I used a clear plastic shoe box from my local 99 cent/bargain store. I grew it indoors.

I poked holes in the bottom and sides of the shoe box with a sharp knife. Crude, but it worked:D.

I also used a small bag of potting soil with peat moss already mixed in. When watering it, I used only filtered water from my Brita pitcher.

Did you cover it or put it in a dark place at first?

I covered it and put it on my windowsill. Left it outside in the shade for one day, then brought it back inside.

I went to pick up peak moss cause the soil here is claylike. I put on a cover outdoors. Thanks!:)

I kept my wheatgrass covered for about a day and a half, then left it uncovered.
