Hi all,

what is...the glow? When i went raw last summer, everyone commented on my skin/face as having the glow and this time, i started to get the same comments about having a glow on day 3!!! and i had just started to break out! i look in the mirror and i still can't see this...glow thing...that people are talking about. is it an energy? a clarity? i'm pleased as can be, but would love to hear other people's experience and opinions on this.

thanks!

I can't seem to see the 'glow' either. I can see it on other Rawbies - and on Alissas face, and on Gwena's blog (she's doing a juice feast) but I can't see it on MY face. my dh says he sees it - and a rather strange thing has been happening lately - I've been noticing people staring at me in stores and stuff. Hopefully they're seeing the glow and not a piece of spinach hanging off of my tooth or anything!! LOL! :D

starfire~EXACTLY! i can relate to the staring thing...it's a bit unnerving and do feel like i have a booger in my nose:) so glad to hear other people's experience are similar.

Solace~i also use coconut oil all over the body and especially face, i love it. especially after a hot bath! it just melts right in.

Ya know - I (of course being in Hawaii and being Hawaiian) have used coconut oil and butters, but have always used it very sparingly on my face unless I've spent a lot of time in the sun. I was always concerned it would cause me to break out... Do you not have a problem with that?

um, and no - that's not a booger in your nose.... It's just that You're GLOWING!!!! :D :D

Starfire~ I (am Hapa) used to have the same problem, but it seemd like coconut oil is the only kind that does not cause me to break out. I do a serious coating once every two weeks or so before going to bed, and hydrate after showers and such as needed, it ends up being every 2-3 days. i'm trying to listen to my skin as well as my body:)

I can't see it on myself, but I feel it. It is an energy about myself and feeling of "I am ALIVE"!

I started seeing the glow on my face after about the 5th day, but I'm also breaking out.

The rest of my body is dry though - even with skin brushing, shea butter and coconut oil.

Haha! I don't notice mine either. I see it as so "normal" now. If I eat any degree of cooked or questionable raw items, I can see a MAJOR difference though! I guess that's my "glow" going away or something.

Lately I HAVE gotten the "you look so young!" comments again as well as saying my eyes are so bright and pretty. I wonder if that is part of the "glow"?
