View Full Version : Compliment has put me in a better mood...

I've been in a bit of a bad mood over the last few days because I've had to cancel a holiday for the second time due to my boyfriend's work schedule. The guy at the Post Office (who is an actor in his forties and used to be on TV, but now isn't getting much work) said 'Can I ask you your age? Matt (young guy working there) thinks you're in you're late twenties, but I think you're around 22'. I told him that I am 35. He was dumbfounded and telling me how fabulous I look. (He does seem to flirt with me outrageously, but I put it down to an actor's personality...I have acted here and there too so I can understand the flamboyance to some degree.) I then told him about raw food, maybe thinking at some level that it may freshen him up and help him to get some more work. I'm not even 100% (and ate biscuits for dinner last night), so I am feeling pleased with myself. I told him I'll live off that compliment for a few months. I did have a 23 year old try and pick me up when I was 34, thinking I was 22. It happens all the time. How old will I look when I am 100%??? Three?!?!?

I think raw foodists begin to have the face of children if they are doing it in a balanced way...fresh, innocent, pure and radiant.

I appreciate beauty, so am not adverse to giving a compliment, as long as I don't feel like a weirdo doing it.

I once told a girl working in a falafel shop that she was one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen. What made her more beautiful, was the fact she didn't know it.

In Nepal I saw a vision of a girl (around 17) with long black hair, standing next to her mother. She was one of the most exquisite creatures I've ever seen. If she was in the West, she probably would have been snapped up by a modelling agency, but the fact that she was so untainted by the West made her even more beautiful.

I did see an unbelievably beautiful girl crossing the road the other day. She had incredible poise and looked like she was in a commercial. She did look like a model... And knew she was attractive...

Nice story Queen Bean. You will also receive the mind of a child when you are 100 % raw, I hope.

The most beautifull girls are the ones not aware of it, because than it is much bigger than them. It's like they attract the whole universe and the whole universe is attracting them.
From a guy's perspective :D

Hmmmm....

My wife has always said I act like a 12 year old. Perhaps eating raw will make me look that way too?

that is a great compliment - way to go! I am 54 years old and have been raw for 6 weeks - my boyfriend is 11 years younger than me and a die hard junk food man - he has terrible health problems but won't change.
He accepts what I am doing but doesn't want any part of it - the other day he told me that I looked radiant and he wishes he had my kind of energy in the morning and asked how I can be so happy and dancing first thing in the morning - hey I just said "it's all in the food"
I think that I am starting to look "younger" than he is which is awesome!!
and I too wonder "what will it be like when I have been raw for 6 months if it is like this after 6 weeks"
YOU GO GIRL

I have to say also that I had to look the second time a couple of days ago as I thought-Can that be my skin, glowing like that? I've never been a beauty as these things go, but I am amazed at how much clearer my skin is this past week after about 6 weeks raw. What we eat surely has an impact on on whole body.

I got a compliment a few days ago (while trying to board a bus on crutches, no less) so I know how you feel! :D

I think that looking youthful depends on your belief system. I am of no religion, but am spiritual. I don't believe my consciousness is annihilated at the point of death. I believe I am an eternally creative being, forever discovering new worlds. So I can't buy into the whole age thing. It's kind of meaningless if you're eternal.

I think we're all youthing.
