Hey guys!
I was just making some DELICIOUS strawberry almond milk this afternoon, and I always feel like I can use the leftover almond bits when I strain the milk.
anybody out there use them? and how?
thanks!

I generally dehydrate until completely dry and then grind into a flour. Oftentimes I just dehydrate it to dry, then stick it in the freezer until I have accumulated enough to grind to make a dish, like chocolate chip cookies or crackers or whatnot. I believe there is a cinnamon roll recipe around here that uses it as well.

Every time I make nutmilk, I spread the almond pulp onto a teflex sheet and dehydrate until really dry. Then you can grind in a blender into flour and make....
rawkinlocs' cinnamon pecan rolls (http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/showthread.php?t=12394&highlight=rawkinlocs+rolls+cinnamon) Yummy!!
I also want to use it to make:
mediterranean almond bread (http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/showthread.php?t=21021&highlight=mediterranean+almond+bread)

I mix it with cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom and soaked dates and press it into a pie pan (with no dehydrating) to use as a pie crust. I then fill it with diced or sliced mangoes, papayas & bananas or whatever yummy fruits are around for the filling.
If I am feeling especially indulgent, I will blend up frosting out of avocados mixed with coconut milk, soaked dates & carob or chocolate powder, then sprinkle shredded coconut on top. :D

Yep, I dry mine and store it away and then for any recipe that uses nuts such as pie crusts, cinnamon rolls, etc, I grind it into flour and use it.
Also, Erica (SchoolofRawk) has a crouton recipe that uses nut milk pulp: http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/showthread.php?t=24963&highlight=croutons
Some also freeze it for later use in recipes and some mention using it as a skin exfoliant.
