Someone told my mom last week that Braggs liquid aminos has MSG in it. I raced to the fridge to look at my bottle and I couldn't see anything on the label, but now I've come across a website that says it does have MSG.

Anyone know about this?

You can do a search (look for the banana at the top of the screen). The topic has been brought up time and time again. You can also google it to come up with more info.

During the process, Bragg's develops a "naturally-occuring" MSG - which some may feel that MSG is MSG, but it could also be very different from the actual additive that is put into other foods. I'm not sure. Some raw fooders still use Bragg's with no problems or ill-effects while others experience effects from it's usage. But I also "think" I remember reading that ANY soy sauce (Nama Shoyu included) creates a naturally-occuring MSG...not sure how true it is or if it's true at all, just something I remember reading somewhere a while back.

But I use Nama shoyu and like it very much...but even when I used Bragg's I didn't seem to have any effects from it.
