Hello wonderful RFT folk!

My husband and I never felt better than when we were @ 100% for a few months, then I went to visit a friend in another state and BAM...I just can't back into it! And I know- DUH, I did say I never felt better. My husband has been begging me to at least do 1/2 the week raw, and I don't know...I blame it on the prep and lessened options.

I know y'all will talk some sense into me.

Thanks, in advance!

Keep it simple silly (kiss). Have a big hunkin green smoothie for one of your meals. Have a bohs (big old hunkin salad) for another one of your meals. Whapam! You've got two meals down. This does not have to be a lot of prep. I mean how easy is it to put together a green smoothie? And it's jam packed with a ton of good food. AND it's broken down so your body can assimilate it quicker.
You CAN Just.Do.It!!!
Listen to what you are saying. You felt better. I will never go back. I don't want to feel so bad never again.
Life was almost not worth living, living ill every day.
We're here to help you. AND WOW - you've got your husband's support. That's what a lot of folks on here do not have. Ask him to help out with prep and all.

The fact that you have come here for encouragement is proof!

You body wants RAW nourishment
Deep down your MIND wants it too
You already know this is the right path
you already have had proof in how AMAZINGLY good you felt
The choice is clear

Either ignore what you KNOW
Ignore what YOU want on all levels
Or go for it

Do you love yourself enough to make choices which say "YES!" to what you, your body, and nature tell you is most pleasurable and healthful and energizing?

I promise you, follow the AWESOME direction of the folks here and you will find that cooked SAD food tastes

flat
dead
singed
clogging, stagnant

whereas raw food

tastes complex and sexy
fresh and purifying
energizing and LIFE-filled
lean and clean
dense with vitality!
Like the best quality jet fuel

What sounds better?
Since you are what you eat...what feels better? What LOOKS better on your body?

You already have it within you! That's why you came here...because you know what's best for you. You just needed to have someone else confirm it...you're wise inside. Welcome back!!!

I love what Hypno said! I whole heartedly DITTO!! I'm right there with you girl! I've been off the wagon for eight months and it's hard to get back into it, but I just kept remembering how i feel now compared to last summer raw and i want to be there! i have to admit, that farmer's markets are open again for the summer and that alone, for some reason helps me get excited for raw.

good luck girl! find that food that excites you!! and is a treat.

Rawannabe, I know EXACTLY how you feel.

This past year has been a rollercoaster for me. Lots of stress. I left a 10 year relationship, struck out on my own after those years, returned to school, and fell off the raw wagon. I have struggled since November to get back on. I thought living in a house with no kitchen would help, but it doesn't. I'm running, running all the time and end up eating cooked food. I've put on 10 pounds, feel horrible, and don't know where I misplaced my willpower.

But I'm trying, and I'll continue to try because I KNOW it is the best way for me to eat. One day at a time, one meal at a time. Right now I"m doing great for breakfast and dinner. It's mid-day I get hungry and raw isn't satisfying me, when I am away from home. I need to take food along... I just get in a hurry and don't do it.

Keep on keeping on... don't give up.
Hang in there... we're all here to support each other.

Hypno, thanks for an awesome post!

I think we have all fallen at least once. I found raw 2 years ago and have been working my way up to 100% since. There was a period of 6 months that I completely lost my way. I was even eating Big Macs  The thing is I was still on this forum every day. Learning and reminding myself of the benefits of Raw. When I developed Eczema on my hands, I knew what I had to do to heal myself. I knew I had to eliminate the common allergens and this lead me back to eating Raw. Now I can go a few days 100% and my diet is at least 85% Raw at other times. I will never go back to the crap I was eating because now I know just how bad it is. In a way those moments of weakness bring us closer to eating Raw because we become aware of how different we feel when eating healthy. Every time I eat something cooked, I want to get back to raw as soon as possible. Like Alissa said in her video, "most diets people can wait to go off of, but with Raw, you always want to go back on it. " One thing that has been consistent in these last 2 years is that I always either have a smoothie or fruit for breakfast. It's the little things that can make all the difference.

Best wishes,

Angelique

Did your eczema go away?

Thanks for asking Rowan.

The eczema is almost completely gone. There was a point when I had a huge patch right in the center of my hand that looked like a gun shot wound. I had to keep my hands wrapped and wear gloves while doing massage. The only time I've had any itching is when I eat cashews. I get little blisters when I eat breads as well, but no itching. I am really trying to be aware of what causes a reaction. I had to eliminate everything first, then slowly add it back. It's even probable that the allergy is caused by eating Genetically modified foods such as corn, soy, etc.. that is in the bread.

I offer each and everyone of you who took the time to share and care, a big hug. From my heart to yours, THANKS!

And for all of your personal stories, THANKS.

This board is such a tremendous source of encouragement and inspiration.

It is actually AMAZING how different my husband and I felt on raw. I admit to cooking for the kids while serving my husband and myself raw, and I am in awe of those of you who feed their kids that way. Mine feel odd enough being all organic all the time (except at school).

You are right though. One meal at a time. Thank you all again!
