Hey guys-my experience w/making fudge balls w/my food processor was a complete disaster. The dates didn't get sliced-they stayed on top of the slicer, instead of getting to the bottom, and the almond butter almost broke the food processor. Has anyone had any better luck w/a juicer? I have to say though, after much struggle and improvising, they were absolutely delicious!!
Thanks a bunch,
Petunia

Try soaking the dates first to soften a little more. And blend these alone first, adding almond butter in little bits.

I did soak them first, but I guess not long enough. I did add the almond butter slowly, b/c the mouth of the processor is quite small. Thanks for the feedback!

Blending the dates first is key. You want to get them as creamy as possible. You can make all sorts of nut balls as well. Sometimes I grind up pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds in my coffee bean grinder, then blend up with dates and carob. Good stuff :)

I would cut them up into small pieces first. That way u will know for sure that they will blend. I have some raw dates that r hard. It is like they have dried to long. I have the same problem as u. Not the date going to the top and staying there but blending up good. I am going to soak them overnight and then slice into small pieces. It should work great that way

I LOVE that recipe!!! I let the a. butter sit out first to get runny. And I soak the dates!!!
