Making nutbutter in the Champion Juicing

I have tried a couple of times to make almond butter in my champion but it just doesn't happen. It ends up stopping (automatic safety shut off mechanism). I am waiting for my new blender hubby bought for me with our income tax refund. Can I make almond butter in that? It is a K-tec Hp3.
