To make zucchini-milk: Peel the zucchini. Do not remove seeds or pulp. Cut into chunks about 1 inch square. Put in blender (about 1/4 full) and swish to liquefy. Let blender run until zucchini is liquefied. You can freeze zucchini-milk to use later.
**I added pinch sea salt and a drizzle of agave. 1/2 c water. Joz
. Cuts down on calories and adds fiber.

Sounds.....eh, interesting. But I guess I'd try anything once.
I s'pose I'd strain it and add some stevia or something.

Don't have to strain it if the zucchinis are young! And now there are so many flavored Stevias, what flavors one can make?
Would be better "combining" for fruit smoothies than nuts.

I'm thinking if you made it "chocolate" flavored it could also cover up some of the taste.
Interesting, I never thought of it, at first I gotta admit it sounded sort of yuck, but when you think of it maybe if the zucchinis were young and fresh it could have a pleasant taste.
I'll definitely try it!

i had a piece of italian zucchini left over and i blended it up but i had no agave syrup so i used cane sugar.
I just tasted it and put it in the freezer to chill some, it will take a little getting use to but it's not too bad, i forgot to put the salt in.
Thanks for posting.

What does it TASTE like? Zuccini-ish?
Just try it? use 1/2 small zucchini, pinch salt, little water, taste, then add agave. blend again, taste it and then you will have an idea, and then you can add fruits, chai spices, etc. All you'll be loosing is 1/2 zucchini for experimentation. THE SMALL (YOUNG) ZUCHINIS DON'T REALLY HAVE AS STRONG A FLAVOR AS THE BIG ONES.

CHAI BLEND: (this will make enough for several servings)
1 tsp ground green cardamom
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
*Mix together... This will make 2 1/4 teaspoons

Well I tried my chai zucchini tea this morning. I didn't quite blend it long enough, so a word of caution: make sure it is thoroughly blended! It was okay, I think I needed to add more honey too. I shall try again tomorrow!

I made it a few times and each time I make it the taste is a little different. So I play with it. But the benefit is worth it. Less nuts in our diet and a better food combining result. I plan to experiment with this this summer when I have zuchini growing with leaps and bounds plus what neighbors give me. (all of them know - my 'green' secret)!

I have some yellow straightneck squash plants growing in the garden, maybe I should've planted zucchini....They just take up so much space.:o I wish I would've planted zukes instead, they are really my favorites. The "plant guy" talked me into the smaller climbing squash that would take up less space. Oh well...maybe I can still get one in the ground.

You can still plant zuchini -this is only May; and for them getting so big and take so much space -- trim off the big outer leaves and you'll know which ones as you will see the plants actually growing in the centers so the big leaves just occuply space. You must leave some leaves though.
