I found this single-auger juicer for $169.00 and it does what the Samson and Green Life Juicers do...Wheatgrass, Nutbutters, Raw Sorbets, and all veggies and fruits (to a degree)! I am so happy with it! As a bonus it looks really cool too...kinda space-agey!

Can you refer us to a site?

CC, thanks for the review! This is the exact model I had been keeping my eye on to get as I've heard it's just as good as the Champion juicers, etc.

Kristi, here is the link to the LeQuip site: http://lequip.com/visor/features.asp

I own their model of blender and have been pleased with it thus far! It's pretty powerful...grinds nuts, grinds flax seeds, blends well overall.

I own an omega juicer that I purchased primarily for Wheatgrass but it does just about everything too. I am going to try nutbutters next. Just wanted to let you guys know about that one also. It's a very good juicer but I have been seriously thing about getting a breville just to have for a second juicer. I am very attracked to it because it seems as though you can drop an entire piece of fruit into it at once. I can't stand preparing the fruit and veg to be juiced. Very tedious!

I feel the same way. My juicer has such a small opening that things must be cut so small.......it's a real pain the try shoving spinach leaves or kale into it. I find it keeps me from juicing like I'd like to and need to.

I am at work and I can't remember the exact site and will post it tomorrow when I get home. The reason I like the masticating (Champion) or single/double auger machines (Samson/L'Quip Visor) is because they preserve the enzymes and do *not* heat up the juice. They are sloooow and produce a complete and healthy, vibrant juice. Also, they are an all in one machine so it's more cost effective.

 Marigold- mine just broke! I am really curious as to what happened with yours as mine has cracked in multiple places and will not even come apart now. This sucks! :(

I had made a few juices (carrot, beet, cleery, cilantro and then a carrot, sweet potato, green onion, celery one and then an apple) a Banana Cacao Ice Cream and Raw Tahini. It broke when making the Tahini.:(
I didn't make all of these things in one day either. It is very disappointing and now I will just have to go all out and get the top of the line (more stainless steel parts) juicer to avoid this mess ever again. :( My rave review is officically revoked!

Geez Louise! I'm SO glad to have been part of this group to learn about these mishaps. I will not get the L'equip visor now.

Sorry this happened to the both of you.

My Jack La Lanne juicer broke this morning too. The motor just quit. What's the deal with these juicers falling apart on us? I'll keep you posted as to how the company handles fixing this problem as the juicer is less than a year old.

AJ, I'm not sure WHAT'S up with these companies and their faulty products, but I do know that the top of the line ones are supposed to have warranties; however, if it breaks down and you have to wait for them to replace it, then what do you do in the interim? My suggestion, have a cheaper model on back up to pull out when/if you end up having to get the "good" one replaced!

Wow I am so glad to get this information! I had my eye on the l'equip too but it seems like it has way too many problems. I wonder if there is another juicer that can do it all and is inexpensive but will last longer? And about the heat thing, I have made juice with the centrifugal juicing attachment for the bosch food processor and I haven't noticed it getting heated up at all. I often check every minute or two and the juice is always cold. Is this a reliable way to know if the enzymes are being destroyed or not?

let me try to explain where it cracked..you know the food shoot screws on to the gear bit doesnt it ? as i recall..it cracked there..it wobbled a lot when switched on!!! it cracked and i thought ow maybe i pushed the food in too hard but i got a replacement anyway ..and then it did the exact same thing and i knew i had been so gentle...

not a good buy is it ?

Interesting thread. I guess I was blessed to have found my Omega 1000 at a garage sale for $12. The lady said she used it once and decided juicing wasn't for her. It came with a citrus attachment, filters, all the books. It looked brand-spanking new!

When I got home and looked up the prices on line and about fell over. They were going in the $250 range. I couldn't believe I got such a good deal! It sat on the kitchen shelf for about a year and I have been using it several times a day now for the past six weeks. So far, the only complaint I have is that when the basket gets full, the little sucker spins and dances across the counter! This morning, I had my blender going and the juicer at the same time when all heck broke loose. My juicer broke out into a jitter bug ... and the blender started spinning and whoa!! I thought they were both possessed. I had smoothie leaking out of the bottom of the blender and my apple juice almost tipped over. Phew! But it's all good now!

I noticed RawJoJo said it does wheatgrass and just about everything. WOOHOO!! I didn't know that. I guess I should go read the manual!

Lol! you cracked me up!
I hope your juicer and blender are working fine again, it's hard to live without those two once you've gotten used to them!

i have had the l'equip centrifugal juicers, both the large and the smaller versions (for travel, the small). They are handy, esp for juicing lots of fruits...much faster, but the juice has to be consumed more immediately. it got me thru for quite some time before i just recently got my green life. my blade basket on my l'equip broke after a few months (tho i think i was not being very careful with it) but they replaced it no questions at all...didn't even verify warranty info. they really do have great customer service. the larger centrifugal juicer has a 12 yr warranty....better than just about any other juicer on the market, for about half the price....even less if you get it on ebay, where i do almost all of my shopping. i have gotten several brand new l'equips on ebay for much less than retail. i have gotten several family members started on juicing and have purchased a few of the smaller juicers....good for a starter juicer. of course i love the green life, it does so much more, etc....but it is handy to have a backup, and again, great warranty, great customer service....and esp good for lots of fruit juices in the summer. even tho i have the fruit attachment for greenlife, i don't think it does a very good job of the fruits.

just my thoughts,
kristi

Hey cool thanks for the info! I have been thinking for awhile about getting the l'equip juicer. What does the green life do that the larger version of the l'equip cannot do?
