My husband has be craving corn bread and we don't have a stove and i don't want one but i do have a convection oven.
I had some unprocessed corn meal from the health food store and two tiny beets, a bit of onions and 3 stalks of celery, i put all of this together in the food processor and added some thick sauce to it and blended it together and added a small amount of water and a little oatmeal to bind it together.
I put this in my convection oven and spreaded it out on a tray and dehdrated it for around 2 hours and it sliced up easily and it tasted so good, it was a lovely red color from the beets, my husband (who will tell you if he doesn't like something) loved it and went back for seconds.
Next time i will blend the corn meal up a bit so it won't be so grainy.

How do you dehydrate food/your bread in a convection oven? The lowest temp on My convection oven is 170 degree. Thanks.

Mine goes lower than that.
You could also used your dehydrater instead.

You can dehydrate at 250 degrees if you chose too.

It just wouldn't be RAW;)

Others have posted that you can make crackers in an oven on low with the door open slightly. I think there has to be some air circulating by a fan near the stove.
If i had an oven i would try it that way.
