I just made the crepes with the cream filling and although it was good, I am not the biggest fan of macadamia nuts  Sorry!

Has anyone tried substituting any other nuts in that recipe for a different taste?

I was thinking almonds or cashews but I wasn't sure...

Any opinion would be appreciated.

Thanks

I always use cashews in the place of macadamia nuts and it works out fine in most cases - one of them being the crepe filling!

Thanks-- I will try that next time.

The crepes were good and I loved the strawberry sauce, but the filling was a little too overpowering for someone who doesn't do well with mac's

Tonight for dinner we had--- Enchiladas with refried beans, pesto stuffed mushrooms and the crepes for dessert-- All from Alissa's book.
I felt so healthy!!!

I used cashews instead of the macs...and they were DIVINE. I also used a mixed berry sauce of blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. I agree with Eilene...I moaned while I ate them. I have the banana leather in the freezer waiting for some yummy filling...7 more days on my fast lol, you guys are killing me.

Eilene and Shayna thanks for the replies... it looks like cashews will be my nut of choice for my next cream creation!

Eilene- I am from Baltimore! I live in Seattle now with my DH, but my family is still in Baltimore. I will be there this summer in June! I checked out your website and saw your beautiful knitting projects. I am a new knitter and am learning the basics but your creations are incredible... how long have you been knitting to be that good!

Thanks again everyone!
