:) I have been 100% raw for 12 days and thought you might enjoy several recipes that have helped me.

Tonight I made sushi with Nori sheet; slices of cucumber and avocado; soaked sunflower and pumpkin seeds;and left over salad dressing which consist of tomatoes and avocados processed with some Braggs. Delicious. I had difficulty slicing the rolled up nori sheet. But with practice it will make a beautiful entre.

With the sushi I also experiemented with a portabello sandwich. Sliced the mushroom; layered with cucumber and avocado; topped with left over salad dressing (processed avocado and tomatoes with little Braggs); and several leaves of spinach. Fantastic.

Both were very attractive and tasty.

I plan to quit Braggs and use it sparingly. Yesterday I purchased some dulse thinking I might substitute for Braggs. Has anyone tried it? It is leathery and salty and does not process well but I liked the taste. I ate it for dinner last night and had a little difficulty sleeping. I am very sensitive to any stimulants. I wondered if it could have been the dulse.

Another recipe I used as a cooked Vegan....was Spciy Pecan Patties but they are actually better raw.

4 C. oats 1 T. onion powder
2 1/2 C. pecan meal 1 T. ground garlic
2 T thyme 1/2 C. wheat flour (I omit)
1/2 tsp African cayenne 2/3 C. Braggs (I use less)
1/4 tsp. sage 2 C .water
1/4 tsp. paprika 1/2 C. chopped onion

Mix together. I make 1/2 recipe and love it. It is strong but helped me through the first two weeks. For those of you who live with meat eaters - form into patties and cook in skillet.

Thanks for all your encouragement.

I am looking for something different to take to our potluck this weekend ... your portabella mushroom sandwich gave me an idea ... I'm going to layer some pate or avocado, cucumber, and tomato and perhaps a spinach leaf ... slice into "chunks" and spear them with toothpicks ...

thanks for the idea!!

Congrats on your 12 days raw - that is awesome.

Thank you for sharing the recipes and the ideas - I think I will make those patties today, especially for hubby to have with the onion bread.

Use a chef's knife. Wet the knife before slicing the sushi. This will allow you to slice right through it.

Try putting the marinated portobello slices into the sushi roll with the rest of the ingredients.

I love sushi rolls. The combinations are endless.
