I found this on Dr DÂ’s message board and sent him an e-mail requesting info. Am actually anxious, never had a young coconut, from anywhere.

Young coconuts are a real treat to eat, and the "jelly" or "soft meat" still tastes delightfully sweet.
Where do you live? I can recommend suppliers of FL coconuts if you are east coast...
