I found this on Dr DÂ’s message board and sent him an e-mail requesting info. Am actually anxious, never had a young coconut, from anywhere.

The coconuts are supposed to be extremely young, Rocket Scientist, or they are terribly difficult to digest and don't taste all that good, either.
Young coconuts are a real treat to eat, and the "jelly" or "soft meat" still tastes delightfully sweet.
Where do you live? I can recommend suppliers of FL coconuts if you are east coast...

Hi Doe,

Thanks so much for posting this! Please let us know what you hear from Dr D regarding this! I live in Florida, but still pretty new to raw and have yet to find where I can get the young coconuts locally.

Robert is Here
Glaser Farms
W. O. Lessard

Contact any of the above three folks for coconuts. All of them are in Homestead.

Robert is the best at shipping and probably the most reliable. Tell him I sent you.

W. O. "Bill" gives the best price and biggest nuts for water.

Stan Glaser offers organic coconuts.

Carolyn, those websites are: www.robertishere.com (http://www.robertishere.com/) and www.glasserorganicfarms.com (http://www.glasserorganicfarms.com/) - I can’t find one for W. O Lessard. Also www.wholefoods.com (http://www.wholefoods.com/) has a list of store locations, there are 7 in FL – all central to south.

Here is a link for an organic farmerÂ’s market locator for all the US - http://www.organicconsumers.org/linkpage.cfm?memid=4165 (http://www.organicconsumers.org/linkpage.cfm?memid=4165)
