Can anyone help convince my mom that they are unhealthy. Any articles? Thanks!

Even though nuts and seeds containe "good" fats, once they're cooked the fats are transformed molecularly to become a transfat I think. If not transfat, I know it's no longer good for you.

Uhhh, cuz they're dead. Have them do their own experiment. Give them some organic seeds/nuts and have them sprout them. Then give them some roasted ones. I doubt they'll sprout as their's no life force in them therefore no nutrients.

I agree about the trans-fats, but I don't know of any specific articles. A google search or two might give you some answers. Also Google search phrases like "toxins in cooked foods"...that ought to give you some results.

Dead nuts sit in my gut like lead. I love to soak nuts to waken them up, then dehydrate them to get them crispy. Delicious!

I'm with you there...I think on a raw palette the cooked ones just don't taste so good anyways!
