Have you recently changed your greens (ie from spinach to kale or chard? I find that my sense of taste is constantly changing. Was not a fan of kale in the beginning of my raw journey, but now it is my favorite - still cannot stand chard though. Same goes for nuts - I generally do not tolerate them that well, but then there are days that I do. I have always been a big garlic lover, and for the most part, still am. However, there are times that it tastes bitter. ~ Cathy

I think your taste buds are changing. This is what has changed what I eat, if I eat cooked. I tried eating some tacos a couple of weeks ago and it tasted like they had a pound of salt in them. Same with Rootbeer. I used to drink it regularly. I had one after being High Raw for months and it tasted like pure syrup. As for the greens, you can always add less until your body adjusts to the taste.

You may wish to Google thewatercure.com and click on the "Water, Iodine and Salt" section. When I was very ill a friend introduced me to this man's concept of putting sea salt in my drinking water. When I finally did get to a knowledgeable endocrinologist he was impressed that he did not have to tell me about it. It is not something that I still do but I must say that I have often learned that when I start to feel ill I can often have something salty and it goes away. I have no idea what this means - I just do it. I hope that you have learned to stay away from SAD table salt and get good sea salt. There are some good websites about that as well.

My cravings for sugar and salt have lessened considerably on raw. I now view the cravings as a sign of imbalance in my body if and when I get them.

I noticed that my tastes are changing on 100% raw. A month ago I saw a recipe in the “Green for Life” book by Victoria Boutenko that called for ½ an onion in a one quart savory green smoothie recipe and I knew that I could never drink it that strong so I cut it to ¼ onion and it was still a little too strong for me. One month later and I have no problem with ½ an onion in a one quart green smoothie. Now the people who talk to me might have a problem with my onion breath, but that’s a whole other issue.
