Hi,
I bought some flax seeds the other day having in mind that i would do something with them, except i dont have a dehydrator, and i dont know what to do with them, i supose you can use them as a seasoning, but i really had my mind set on those crackers, anyone have any ideas?

I always toss a whole bunch in my green smoothies.

Ditto for me...after grinding them in a coffee grinder I put them in my smoothies and also sprinkle them (ground) on my salads....

I just got a used Vita-Mix and I'm so excited and happy with it...I'm wondering if I could put the flax seeds in not ground????....I guess I can try it next time.

I soak and sprout the flax, then Vitamix them with some raisins. Makes a yummy pudding.

I put a couple of spoonfuls a day in my green smoothies. When I was using a cheap $30. blender I pre-ground them in a coffee grinder which I was already in the habit of doing because among other things, I also add flax to my dog’s food. But since I got my blendtec I put them in whole and they completely disappear in a green smoothie.

I have been eating the flax every day for a week now. Raw and dehydrated. Some people on here say that they do not digest - (come out the same shape as went in) but I have not had that problem at all. I found that I was so craving the flax that I could not wait for crackers.

Since I live in Arizona I have been wanting to find a bug proof way to use the sun to dehydrate. I feel stupid using electricity when we have such an abundance of sunlight. I think that a screen stapled to a painted wooden frame and c-clamped tight to the painted wooden backing - bottom might work. Maybe it should not be painted? I am thinking that you have alot of sun there also? It still would need to be watched in case a dust storm came up.

Wise, sprouted flax is easier to digest

* Raw: they will only sweep your digestiontrack. Broken/grounded or sprouted
you will also use the nutrients in your body
