Hi Revvell,
In your daily appreciations thread this morning you wrote -
"realizing more of what I want to keep on hand to maintain a wonder-filled food program".
Being the veteran raw fooder that you are, I wondered if you could elaborate on that for me. I love to hear tips from people who are able to thrive over the long haul. Thanks for your time and have a safe trip home:)

Hi Nancy,

Well, it's not a big revvellation. ;) It's just when we went to the vegetarian buffet yesterday I reaized I need to have shredded carrots and beets on hand. I love them in salads and even though I've got carrots in my fridge, they don't get eaten unless I make a dip. I always keep spring greens available, tomatoes, cukes but not enough carrots and beets and wont take time to shred them every time I want to eat. Good to prepare the cukes ahead as well. This way, I have my own salad bar every day. Put them all in air-tight containers and open them as I wish to make a different salad every day. Grapes, strawberries, etc. Oh! And jicama! Of course, they're best done at the time yet, better than not at all.

In one of our shows I mentioned to create recipes twice a week. That's something I want to include. Also, I can get cole slaw in a package as well and fresh sprouts from the farmers' markets.

Make a couple of REALLY favorite salad dressings, a couple of dips, a HUGE green smoothie every a.m. and I'm good to go.

Thanks for asking. I'll read this when we get home and go grocery shopping tomorrow.

Thank you for the kind thoughts.

Hoping that helps some. :)

You're welcome. Can't wait to get out and get some fresh beets and carrots. Thinking we may go to one of our fave restaurants tonight and get me a beet salad. :)

Welcome home. As nice as it is to travel, I always love coming home. All the best.

Thanks! Normally I do yet it was sooooo beautiful there. Clean, fresh air, space... felt we could really breathe and live there. Here, crowded, traffic, grey air... We could live up there methinks although, we were there in some REALLY good weather. Only rained at night and for two days during a 10 day span.

But! Have work/play to do here tomorrow. Going to eventually check out Washington and Oregon. Problem with traveling all we do is circulate money when we're not in a seminar or something. Not that THAT'S not fun... :D

Thanks again for the welcome home. :)

Hi again Revvell,
I just recently did some online research about Oregon and it sounds like a terrific place to live.
By the way, I bought your playbook and I can highly recommend it to anyone who has the intention of improving their life. My mind is always pretty active. I like to think things through a lot. Writing my thoughts down has been an "eye opening" experience. I realize that I'm the only one limiting myself. Go figure:cool:
Thanks for all you do to enhance all of our lives here on RFT and life in general.
Enjoy this wonderful day:)

Well I have a bit partial having lived in Washington for the majority of my almost 50 years, but do come check it out! I love it here and I've lived on both sides of the state (very different weather conditions between the west and east sides) and it is green, beautiful, and the air is so fresh especially out here on the Olympic Peninsula!

Just a little plug, I couldn't resist!:D

Well, it seems people who live there love it and I understand there's a "wet" side and a "drier" side as well. Darn! Guess we'll just have to make the trip up there and check it out!!! heheh!

Yeah, how weird are we, eh? (<<< talking like a Canadian, although I only recall hearing one person say it. :) ) Glad you're finding it beneficial. I continue to use it myself!

Thank you very much Nancy. Appreciate your appreciations. Have a wonder-filled day as well.

Thanks for the info. I hear that a lot! I may be asking LOTS of questions. Getting ready to do an interview now soooo, not much time.

I do wish to know which is drier/sunnier yet still green? (or, is it all green?)

We loved the rainy nights, sunny days on the Sunshine Coast in Canada. They say they don't get much snow there usually either.

We're going back in November. Same area, different place to stay though. Looking for a B & B on the water at a reasonable price; then going to Vancouver for a couple of days again. Check out my new favorite store. :D LOVE that Washington is about a 3 hour drive from there. heh!

Thank you for the info. :)
