I try to always have lemon or lime water several times a day. I have a wide mouth juicer and I recently learned that there is nutrition in the lemon peel as well. (I loved using zest for SAD recipes and now I use it in raw recipes.) I just throw the whole lemon down the juicer which is much easier for me.

I have another juicer that I have had for close to 30 years that I prefer for the greens. The widemouth juicer wastes greens. (I could freeze them and run them through again.) My favorite green juice is spinach. The other greens are less palatable to me and so I mix combinations or mix with lemon water to make it taste better. Lemon & lime are alkalizing.

I also juice salsa ingredients. The tomato and onion make the cilantro juice bearable. Cilantro is cleansing of heavy metals. Parsley cleans the blood.

For a filling snack for the kids I peel oranges with most of the white part still on. I juice 3 oranges in the widemouth juicer. Then pour the juice on top of a banana in the blender. It is very thick and creamy. It is more of a liquid snack and they love it. They love it so much that now they are starting to help.

When I work I will sometimes get alot of my juice down me in the morning prior to going in because I find that none of the juice stays as fresh as I like. Then I can go through the day just munching on things on my breaks.

P.S. I do sometimes take the green juice to work because it keeps me awake!

Water and freshly made smoothies. I rarely juice because it eliminates the fiber which is needed for natural bowel function. Nature did not make a mistake when it made fruits and veggies with all their nutrients and fiber.

All I drink is water. I drink about a gallon a day- but I stopped drinking soda years ago. You know, if you want something different smooties are always a good and healthy drink. Something as simple as a strawberry-banana smoothie satisfies a sweet tooth or the desire for some variety.

I agree with Revvell. I drink Green Smoothies. Simple. 2 cups filtered water. Choice of fresh fruits. Handful of greens (less to start out until you become used to it), whip up in a high speed blender and you got yourself a healthy, power drink that is already assimilated for easy consumption by your body.
To mine I add Spirulina and Alissa's Green powder. But then again, I can mix just (the Spirulina and green powder) with water and drink just that. That's not for everyone. Just remember, the more fruit, the more disguised the greens will be. If you put in say two romaine lettuce leaves with some water, a banana, some berries and an orange? You won't taste those greens - at all. I was hesitant, but now I'm hard core. I've even licked up some of the powder if I've spilled it! :p I can't go a day without my green smoothie - at minimum a quart, sometimes two.
I highly recommend Victoria Boutenko's book, "Green for Life". Tells of all the benefits of GS's.
In fact, this morning I'm drinking a "Mud-Shrek". It's 2/3 cups of cashews, 3 cups filtered water - 7-12 dates (depending on size), a squirt of agave and 1 tablespoon of Alissa's Green Powder.
Shrek would be proud of me!

I rarely drink water; my diet is entirely whole-foods based, so I don't require any. I never drink juices, save pomegranate and wheatgrass.

I drink green smoothies every day. Herbal teas, lemonades, rejuvelacs, kombuchas, and coconut water -- all are consumed on occasion.

Best,

Hi, I drink filtered water, herbal teas and smoothies (YUMMY with almond milk). I'm about to move onto drinking green drinks. I've been afraid to try them as I have a cheap blender. If I'm really feeling a craving for something carbonated I'll make an herbal tea with agave nectar and add filtered carb. water..just like soda, only more refreshing without the sugar funk. :)
