Maybe if you started from birth it would be possible. I don't think certain anamils were ment to be RAW. Although some have mastered it and I say Kudos to them. But mine will have NO parts of it.......

My cat will catch mice and birds and such and generally eats them. I got this idea I'd buy feeder mice from the pet store. So I put the mouse in a huge box with the cat. No way! I think it was too tame to run around, so didn't interest her. I tried putting them out in the yard together and she seemed interested for a bit, but didn't eat the little thing.

Google BARF diet (bones and raw food) for cats. I fed my cats raw and they loved it. They would even eat broccoli. I had to mix with eggs and supplement with fish oils but they went nuts for it. I fed my husbands dogs raw when I was around them also. They fought over it. And this is the ONLY time that they would fight. The puppies devoured it. You might need to transition them, but it is not completely unrealistic to get your pets to eat raw. Godo luck and let us know how it turns out for you.

I just bought two books from amazon about this. But upon reading them and seeing all the supplements you need to add and how you have to grind up the meat (bones and all), I know I just can't do it. (I am vegan for ethical reasons and meat just grosses me out) I do feed them freeze dried raw food from the store though that I rehydrate. The ingredients are the same as if I were to make it myself. They LOVE it and freak out when they know they are getting it. I also bought them a little flat of wheat grass that they are enjoying knawing on too.
