Does anyone have a substitute for Nama Shoyu or Braggs?

Usually I just put some salt in the specified amount of water and let it go at that, but am wondering if anyone has experimented with a spice of some kind to duplicate the flavor.

Thanks ....

I purchased some dulse thinking that it might be a substitute for Braggs since it has so much iodine content. It is leathery and salty but I liked the taste. I processed it with tomatoes and avocados. Maybe I should have soaked it??? I really don't like to use Braggs. I also bought some dill thinking that would give a nice strong taste.

I'm also looking for a substitute.

I have some dulse. I'll try soaking it and see how it tastes. Thanks!

I've used a little salt, some onion powder and garlic powder in place of Braggs. It's not exactly the same, but close.

Allison selection is what I have used as a sub - also raw organic miso. With dulse - soak it.

Thanks all. I'll make a stab at this tonight ...mix a few things together and see how it goes.

"Is Nama/Braggs simply marinades?" ,,,

Yes Autumn, Braggs is a flavoring, marinade, etc. etc., and has a great taste ... but Braggs is NOT raw, so I don't use it. I can't get Nama Shoyu here, so I'm trying to come up with a similar taste.

Ended up coordinating materials for a jobsite last night, so didn't have a chance to try out the substitute suggestions here. Aiming for tonight ....
