I'm interested in growing some wheatgrass but because my apartment doesn't get much light, I'm not sure if growing it indoor/outdoor will be effective. Does anyone know how much light the grass needs to grow in? Also has anyone ever tried frozen wheatgrass, such as "dynamic greens?"

As long the wheatgrass get some sunlight and you can grow it inside.

Thanks guys, I appreciate your help! Do you know how many ounces the Tribebest Life makes and how long it takes to sprout? I'm just trying to figure out how much I would have to make each week to have two ounces a day?
Thanks!!

I have no idea. I would suggest two things. E-mail or call Tribest or check out the sproutman's website.

He may have some yield guidelines.

I think you can grow it just with lamps and no sunlight. Google will help.

Here's my brother's site. He's a master wheatgrass grower....

I will soon be starting a business growing and shipping fresh cut wheatgrass. I'll keep all of you posted......
You can grow with lights. 12 hours isn't a problem. Less if sunlight. Doesn't need 24 hour light. temperature and underwatering are two big problems with growing. Check out his instructions for growing and if you need questions answered, you can email either of us.
a one pound bag of wheatgrass makes about 8-12 ounces of juice, depending on the juicer. one pound of seed makes two pounds of grass.
"I'd rather juice my grass."
