Hello!

I live in Massachusetts about 30 mins from Boston. I was wondering if anyone in the area knew where I can find hulled barley and non-roasted buckwheat. I am dying to make Alissa's calzone and chili recipes but I have tried all over and cannot seem to find these grains. I am willing to buy online if anyone knows of a good website.

Thanks!:)

I live in Providence and have had similar problems. I, also, frequently grocery shop in Boston. Market Basket in Somerville is my favorite place for produce. Its so inexpensive and they have such a variety. I actually ordered my barley and buckwheat from an online site called Gold Mine Natural Foods www.goldminenaturalfood.com. If you do find a place that has either of those, please let me know.

I get my seeds from:
www.sproutpeople.com
Plus they have pages and pages of information. Any sprouting question you need answered, they can do it.

Are you near a Whole Foods? SOME(not all...yet) Whole Foods now have a *raw* section where they sell that stuff and more. I know the one in Framingham does as that is where I shop...

I do shop at the Whole Foods in Framingham and I have seen the raw section. but I have never seen raw barely or buckwheat...am I just not seeing it? I ususlly look at those big bins because it is cheaper than the little tubs they sell.

I believe the last time I was there, I saw the barley...can't remember if I saw buckwheat. Its in the little tubs, unfortunately :(
