Hi, I'm Robert from Naples. I just started raw foods last monday and am totally impressed. I 've lost 7 pounds this week. My friend and I at work have a contest who can lose the most weight and I remembered a person that went raw so I decided to try it.
I'm a guy that lived on burgers, fries and Krispy kream donuts. It was very difficult to get started. Now I'm Loving it. I feel alive again. I hope to get rid of about 60 lbs. and get my life back again. Thank you so much for having a great site and lots of inspiration.
I'm filming a documentary of my efforts as it goes, if anyone else would like to be in it, let me know and we can edit you into the film.
Have a great day!!!!!

Welcome Robert - I will be 4 weeks raw tomorrow and my reason to start was to see if I felt better - well quess what? I am not going back to "cooked"
I feel great, have so much energy and no longer have the depressed feelings I had for so long, and the weight loss is a bonus.
So keep at it and go for it - you seriously will feel better!

It's been almost 4 weeks now and I am just amazed. I've lost 17 pounds and I feel fantastic!!!! I honestly didn't think I could make it that first few weeks. Since then, I've gotten a Vita-Mix, dehydrator and food processor. I find myself still doing mostly fruits because I never was a vegetable person, but trying to get better. The canoli are fantastic!!! My problem is I have always hated tomatoes and there are so many things that require tomatoes. But I am now committed to the long haul. I missed burgers and donuts that first week, but have not looked back now for almost a month.
Thank you so much everyone for your support. My wife thanks you too because she is getting her old husband back.
Will post again soon.
