I thought all of the people who resonate with the idea of intuitive eating could share their thoughts here on why it works for them.
For me, digestion is improved. Also, I seem more centred, more motivated, less lazy. If I'm eating by the clock, I become out of tune and not flowing with life. ;)

Oh yes, I always eat when it feels right and I always eat whatever my mind/body/spirit gravitate towards. The only thing I monitor is that I get enough greens but I usually desire them all the time anyway. Our bodies need different things at different times and I believe that putting food on a schedule (unless it can't be helped for obvious modern reasons) and only eating with our scientific minds means that we will become out of touch with our being. We need to let ourselves be more free to let us know what to do/eat.

I am intuitive within a structure.
My energy drops if I don't eat this way:
Morning - Fruit
Afternoon - Fruit, Vegetables / Greens
Evening - All Acceptable Raw Food
I also try and balance fruit, with vegetables and greens and fat in a way that makes sense to me. But in terms of what I eat, when and how much (within the above structure)...I take the intuitive approach.

I eat this way all of the time.. I never eat anything because I think I should..LOL.. I generally just eat what I feel like out of what I have, or what I am able to get...
It is rather difficult for me to even think of it as unusual. I am living alone now and eat at "irregular" times, and do not eat what most people would think of as 'meals.' It feels normal and natural to me..:)
p.s. :-) I do consciously focus on eating only fruit in the morning...and have intentionallly drank wheatgrass juice, which I did not crave...

I find that i have to do the same thing. I get headaches if i don't have fruit pretty quickly.
I love it - it is much quicker and easy to prepare.

I love eating intuitively. If I use my brain or emotions, I run the risk of choosing something that will make me feel like crap! I also do my yoga practice intuitively...I scan my body, see what feels tight, and let my body flow from pose to pose without thinking about what I'm going to do next. Our bodies are smart. :)

I tend to eat 3 meals at roughly the same time every day, but WHAT I eat is purely intuitive. I eat fruit for breakfast and a green smoothie for lunch. I have a lot of variety in the green smoothie daily based on what looks good. For dinner, anything goes as long as it includes a little of everything, and is RAW!!!

through being raw - I'm learning to eat intuitively. I'm following the advice I've learned through Alissa's teachings and what all of you have posted - and that is -- "Listen to your body - your body will tell you what it needs!" ;)
I love eating this way - it feels good! So - to all of you -- Many Mahalos (thanx):D for sharing!!
