Hi guys,

The one cooked thing that keeps dancing through my mind is masala dosa. Dosas are thin crepe like things either rolled plain or with fillings inside. Masala dosa has a spiced potato mixture inside. They are the cuisine of South India. And they are SO good. Dosas are normally made with rice or rice and lentils. I am wondering if I can somehow make it from sprouted lentil and dehydrate the pancakes? I figure the filling won't be too hard...I can use a cauliflower curry or something...it's the pancake part that's key.

Any thoughts here??? Thanks!!

I would definitely use a COCONUT MEAT crepe. I think that is the only way you can get that consistency for the crepe/shell. Try a variation of Carmella's Samosa wrap at www.thesunnyrawkitchen.blogspot.com. You can then put a filling in it with seasoned cauliflour, coconut meat or even a mushy seed pate' flavored to your liking, and further dehydrate it.

Coconut meat is a good idea. Some recipes like that caught my eye in Raw Food ReaL World...but I haven't made them yet. Do they taste like coconut? The dosa part doesn't take like all that much.

I have never made them but coconut meat does NOT taste coconutty at all, so you should be fine. I imagine it makes a thin crepe that is fairly bland, but lightly sweet, like the meat. I just know it's got to be a GREAT "base" for such a thing, super light and perfect.
