Corn sprouting?

Hey,

has anyone ever sprouted corn? if so how, was it fresh or dried bulk corn, and was it the usual yellow, blue or multicolored variety?

I have sprouted corn. It was fully mature dry hard corn, not the aviv stage that is usually sold on the cob. It's still hard to chew once sprouted. It was yellow.

I think I'm allergic to corn. I wonder if it's because it's STORED and gets moldy laying in huge piles (someone who lived near big farms told me this) SO...my question is this. I'm wondering if eating FARM FRESH corn would have the same effect? OR if I grew my own, or knew someone who grew theirs and I got it straight after picking??? I DO love corn...tortillas, etc.
