Hi my name is Michelle. I've been thinking about going raw for sometime now so this is my first step. If anyone has any suggestions on how I can gracefully start this please let me know.

I wish you everything you need to Stay RAW.....Welcome to MY World...
Hi there!
I'd suggest take it one day at a time - and dont beat yourself up for eating cooked.
If you want to jump in and go as high raw as you can, make sure you have plenty of fruit, veggies and nuts so as not to get hungry, they're the failure times for me - or - do one or two days raw a week until you get into the swing of things.
Just use the search function with a keyword, the subject is bound to have been discussed before.
Good luck.
I would recommend getting Alissa's book. It really is worth the money. It is a heavy book with lots of good information like a shopping list and basic information to get you started plus a ton of recipes you can try. I started to eat raw before I got mine and I wish I had it the first day I started. It truely was a God Send. If you can't afford it right now I would recommend you looking over the recipe thread of this board to help give you some ideas of things that look appealing to you and start buying the ingredients to those first.
Mainly just eat lots of fresh fruits, veggies, unroasted seeds and nuts, etc. You can eat simply on raw or you can eat more gourmet. It is your choice. Best wishes to you!

And don't forget Alissa's DVD -- it is amazing and very helpful to actually get to watch her making the Raw dishes. Good luck on your journey! :D

For me, the thing was to target which meals in the day I could do raw all the time. For me I felt I could do breakfast and lunch raw all the time and started that way. Even if the only thing you know you can do 100% raw every day is breakfast, do that. Build from there.
