Hello All,

This is the first time for me to join anything like this online. I have been trying to be 100% raw since February 2007. I have met with days of success but that is all.:( I look forward to the encouragement from so many who are on a similar journey. I know that I will be unable to complete this alone. I want to say thank you in advance.

I am a teacher in Southern California. My immediate family is great and supportive. They think I am weird. That's ok. I have experienced in the past and present a resurgence of different symptoms of chronic illnesses. I wont go into any details. I am choosing this lifestyle in of hope of excellent health and energy.

Welcome aboard!! So glad you are seriously considering making the transition to raw (again). You'll find a wealth of info and support here. Why not commit yourself to one of the 30 day challenge threads. Looking forward to hearing more from you in the forums ~ Cathy

Welcome! I agree - do a 30-day challenge.
Weird? I work hard at being weird. I prefer not to be normal thank you!;)

Cathy,
Thanks for the welcome. Well, so far so good. I am still raw. I think I will start the 30 day challenge in May. I am going to use this week as a transition week. I will have to check the site out more for where I sign up for the challenge. Thanks again.

Lucy,
Thanks for the warm welcome. I find that if I am truly honest, it takes more work being normal. Thanks again for the encouragement on taking the 30 day challenge. I will give it a shot in May. I have been raw all day and look forward to the evening.

AR - that would be a good goal to set for yourself - starting a 30-day challenge in May. Do you have Alissa's book? She really lays it all out in front of you with great transitional foods and menus and a shopping list and all. It would be smart to get it now and then be able to really start in May. We are all here to support each other.

Aloha and Welcome!! You will find tons of support and information here on this site! I know that I definitely couldn't do it alone - and here I not only find love and laughter -- I find lots of people who understand and really care. Good luck on your journey! ;) (I'm on day 23 of the April 30 day challenge - and it's been transformative -- and AWESOME....!!! I did after all find my toes AND my neck!) LOL!!
