Hi all, I'm a new member and have been trying to find info on the 30 day challenge. Could someone point me in the right direction.

It just means doing raw 100% for 30 days...your own personal challenge. And in 30 days you should feel awesome...a trial period if you will. But most people do 30 days and want to keep on going. There are support threads on here, which I find SO useful. There is the "amazing april" one and also a may one has been started already. You are free to jump into the April one even if you are just starting. We usually post our food for the day and generally chit chat and support each other. :D

thanks for your help. When people say "green smoothies" do they put greens through a juicer and then blend with other things in the vitamix?
What is the best thing to eat first in the day?

A lot of people like to start the day with fruit...either in a smoothie or whole. But you can eat whatever pleases you. Sometimes I soak steel cut oats overnight in water or almond milk and add a little agave and banana in the morning. The raw version of oatmeal. Also Alissa sells really raw oats on here.
For green smoothies you just throw some greens in the blender or vitamix with your fruit. Don't juice it first...that way you get the fiber from it. You can use any green. I think spinach has a mild taste and is good to start with. I use two handfuls...start with a small amount and see what you can tolerate. You shouldn't taste it. Sometimes I juice apple and or carrot juice and put that in for extra sweetness...but those don't blend up so well.
Do you have Alissa's book? If not, I highly suggest it. It is a wealth of information and makes everything so easy and doable!
