Hi All!

Today I decided to make some corn chips in my Nesco dehydrator. I just used thawed corn , salt, onion powder, and chili powder. I placed the ingredients on the Friut Roll sheet (round ring made of plastic). A couple of hours later I tried to turn it over and it was stuck.

Should I have oiled the Fruit Roll sheet before I put the corn batter in?

Thanks,

Kim

I have never found "just corn" to work. It's chewy and too thin. Using something like sunflower seeds in it should help.

I tried that recipe twice. Although mine didn't stick, I found it to be totally inedible. Smelled horrid as it dehydrated and had a funny flavor to it and weird texture. Not good at all.

Rawcutter posted a recipe for his (or the) Spicy Tacos the other day - and they are awesome. I made the corn tortillas according to the recipe and it was fabulous - but I've since tweaked it and made it as is - but without the orange and yellow bell peppers and the sun dried tomatoes - it came out just like corn chips! YUMMY!! ;)
