Hi there!

I bought the Nesco Snack Master and it worked fine for me - now I have an Excalibur and while the Excalibur does give you a little more freedom by allowing you to remove trays to make more room for higher items (such as a loaf or a pan) as well as not have that hole in the center that can be "somewhat" limiting - the Nesco is still great for making pizza crusts (you'll just have a round pizza with a hole in the center, but it'll still taste the same! ;) ), crackers, fruit leather, dried fruit or veggies, warming things, etc.

Only thing - make sure that it has a temperature control on it. If it doesn't, then it has been pre-set to a temp. that is higher than what you'd want it to be as a raw fooder. So, just be sure it has that temp. dial feature!

But if you can budget an Excalibur in, I'd go with that - but if not, the Nesco works fine.

I have the Necso. It's fine, but I had to buy a lot more trays and sheets for it. Still could use a few more fruit leather sheets. I find I need one for every tray. I have 12 trays total, (the max it will take) but with all those trays it won't fit under my cupboards. 10 is all I can use at once.
