I thought it would be lovely to have a thread where we can mention poignant, beautiful, inspiring things we may notice out and about or in our homes or work places...it could be something you do yourself that amazes you, or something you observe someone else doing for themselves or others that touches your Soul...(think random acts of kindness). In a world where there can be such harshness, a gentle Raw Fooder who is ever more sensitive is easily affected by the intensity of the World that surrounds us ( a very foreign world, at times). Feel free to brag about your children, your loved ones or yourself! Let this inspire you to "do better", be the "bigger person" in times of conflict and the compassionate one where it is needed...Blessings and have a beauty-filled day! :)

what a great idea..i went to a wonderful place today and this is what i wrote another visit to the same place in june when i went with thunder..its is awesome.i live in a beautiful place and every day it touches my soul ..i never take it for granted.ever day i breath the land - i am the moors and the rocks and fields and it breathes me..i love it..it sustains me.

brag you say!!! i would like to brag about my two wonderful parners who are the most compassionate loving expansive deep honest open fun tender wimmin..i am truely blessed to have them in my life.

my siamese always teaches me the meaning of living in the moment of joy of fun of forgiveness and of love.

my world is truely wonderful.

DOVEDALE

In the river there are lots of small falls – i don't know the name for them and here the water is like moving flat glass which suddenly releases into orgasm of letting go with marine blue and white swirling water..it gleamed like light on glass under it was moss lit up as if it was back lit – such crystal clear moss at one point there was a twig stuck and water splayed out of the river like fingers.

Where the river had expanded her breath little streams took detours and trickled through rock green small and delicate it flowed.

In some places rocks sat in mid flow and the water buffeted hard against it over and over again and i wondered at it...coming all of it each drop doing the same thing splashing and gurgling making delish sounds in my ears..some gurgling like caresses on my soul – reaching with hands deep inside me really erotic and sensual with its different textures and pressures...from the light touch to the pounding sounds .

On the banks or cliffs were huge rock formations – hauntingly wondrous like forgotten monuments of ancient times left to decay – the weeds grown and the rocks had ivy on..but it wasn't weeds – the weeds were trees such was the size huge huge growing out of scrub land a kind of grey haze about them so still in t his quiet place. I wondered who had walked there before wilderness came but this was nature..natures spirit..

round the corner a cave with lots of splits in ripped apart and i wanted to stick my tongue in there and almost fuc them with the passion to become the rocks and the trees – imagine the water that had pressed and forced and dripped through the rock to create this ....further along either side of the river 2 hu

ge pillars as if there was once a bridge...and of course there wasn't – and one rock stood alone – the rocks i just felt .period.felt.

Oh WOW! what a brill idea CC
I am just snuck on here as I do moving stuff but I was totally drawn to your reply Marigold, AWESOME writing.

Passion, appreciation, depth of being - WOW THANK YOU for writing your soul Marigold. The way you said you breathe your life and it breathes you - GOD YES!!

I'll write more tomorrow I promise, something happened yesterday, I saw a shop selling puppies in little 'windows' and it was awful - i've been feeling into it ever since, I cried in the shop, I don't know why I went in, I sensed what it was, but I was drawn to one window and the pups were crying and rtying to get out when I touched the glass... the world is very foreign VERY compared the way I live and feel in my heart. I see these things and the news sometimes and wonder how to 'cope' and what to do and why.. it's all very raw for me right now as I move back into the world of people and friends and family and work etc etc..

What a beautiful thread.
I'll be back xx

Today i'd like to say that just re-reading this thread has inspired me and comforted me in the middle of a whirlwind of thoughts and plans and life stuff.

I went running today and was, as always, totally gobsmaked (stunned into silence) by the gorgeous view as I rounded into the park/woods. I could see the skyline and the lake and tres and up above the trees birds were flying and circling and it just hit me how the human concerns seem to be oh so big and important but thru it all the trees just stand there, the sunrise happens, the birds fly, the moment is all there is..
and I ran on and I felt 'I AM a tree' there's no difference, I just AM, like them. And I felt relief and peace and I stopped to lean against a big pine tree... we all live in our houses - we MUSTN'T forget we ARE nature, to connect..

Im so inspired by the time of year here in America..
The air is crisp and has that wonderfull smell of fall! I feel so alive!
The trees in my yard and around town are turning and they are amazing!
I love the fact that that the seasons are a constant. Regardless of what is going on in the world or in my life.. once a year the tree's put on the most amazing show with there awsome colors. And regardless of how hard or cold winter is the flowers still will make there grand entrance for all to see in the spring.

Hows that marigold and Thunderdancer?

cheers :)

NWgal :)

Beauty, as above so below...thanks for sharing!

Here's something that happened a while back that touches and inspires me and leaves me in awe...

My Daughter is 11. She is wise and soulful, and this story I am about to relate to you will show you a glimmer of her light...

My Daughter is precocious but not sexually speaking. She is an innocent, yet a wise one. She has never had a boyfriend, has never even been kissed and at the same time has a great understanding of love, and sex in its' appropriate place.

We live in an area where there are lots of young prostitutes that cruise up and down the street, looking for Johns. This provides an opportunity ofr "teachable momnets" where we discuss sex, love, desperation and the like.

Well, one day we were seeing a group of particularly young looking "street girls" in wigs and flashy-trashy clothes, and observed a man in a truck yelling at them. She asked "Why would anyone ever want to do that?" as in , be a prostitute or pay for a prostitute. We discussed the reasons this sometimes happens,- desperation, feeling unloved, being addicted to drugs or having been abused, having someone force you to do it and so on.

She then said, ; "I understand all those reasons why the girls would do it, but what about the men who pay for it? What happened? Why did sex lose its' magic? It's supposed to be *magical*. "

This touched me so deeply that it made me want to *cry*, my heart swelled with love and soul-connection at the wonder of this magnificent being that is my Daughter. She "gets it". She really "gets it" and is so wise and balanced, at only 11! :)

I am so proud to be her Momy!

This goes both ways,,,,,,,,,

gentlemen that works at the hfs, his bike wheel went flat. so I helped and he offered free carrot juice. He's got an amazing level of rich simplicity as I came to find out after conversing with him :)

Cute post idea!!

Today I got a note left for me from a student saying "You have taught me so much. I want to be like you when I grow up, that is be a teacher."

That brightened an otherwise dreary day and inspired me to get back on the horse and show up tomorrow with a smile and open heart again.:) It made me feel good that I am at least reaching ONE child...

Those are such special moments JMD. Don't you love those "love" notes from students. It's so innocent and genuine :)

CC, what a wonderful gifted daughter you have! What an insight in such a young age!

And what a wonderful idea! And so much to be thankful for! Beside my very delicious apple and me clear sparkling water, there is one thing I am particulary moved by! A couple of days ago about sunset, we had the most exquisite display of colours on the sky. The clouds were all shades between pink to deep purple through to blue as they races over a flawless blue sky ornamented with a beautiful young moon. It was so grand, one could feel the splendour of life just then! I just stood in the window totally inthralled by the beauty..

Another night when I went to bed the moon looked down at me lovingly and covered me in gentle light. I always was a child of the moon, so what a way to fall asleep!

You said to brag, alright, I do have a mate to brag about.. When he has gotten up and I decide to lie lazily in bed to read and he then comes in with tea for me, how sweet! And when later he starts to experiment with raw in the kitchen, bringing me all sorts of tasty smoothies!

Well, I could go on and on about small yet wonderful things! And maybe I will in another post..

Fly forever free,
Nenyath

One time when I was in about kindergarten, I went to the little groceery store on main street and bought some candy. I went to the church yard and threw candy all over the lawn because I thought it would be giving to God and make him happy.
