Hi Everyone,
Has anyone used Yacon syrup in their recipes? I cannot have Agave Nectar but wonder if Yacon Syrup can be substituted in the Avocado Carob Pudding? That is what does Agave Nectar taste like?
Thanks

I have never heard of Yacon Syrup but would love to know more. Agave has no Flavor, it is just a Sweet Syrup, a sweetner..............

So.. I noticed its a syrup that taste like molasses. Wonder if it would be a better substitute in recipes that call for maple syrup.. instead of agave.
Anyone have experience using this in recipes?

David Wolfe sells that syrup on his site and talks about it in his book. I have not used any sweetners except raw honey. I am going to keep checking this thread to see what everyone has to say on the subject.

Rhazula,
Thank you for your wealth of information! I can consume yacon and Stevia for now therefore I am in the search for sources to work with.

I have Yacon Syrup it does have a very distinctive flavour which I find in certain recipes can be quite overpowering where Agave works with anything.
It does like molasses with cinnamon. Also crazy expensive!!

Natures first law is the name of David Wolfe's company. You can type in his name or his buisness name and get the information. I got his book from the library. I always check the library first, bookstore second, and online last.
