OMG!! :D that is too funny!!! :D I was wondering the SAME THING!!

I ate and ate and ate those crackers all day -- then had them for dinner too!! (with a bit of avocado and salsa)... yummm... but then my tummy seemed a bit bloated.

So can anyone out there tell us -- can we eat too many flax seed crackers? Cuz I got them here on my desk again today!! :p

I sure hope no one tells us that! I don't know how to stop eating those things! I do imagine though, that all that dried food in the system would affect the elimination. I would think that if a person didn't drink enough or have enough moisture in the other foods they eat, that the ground-up seeds would pack in pretty tightly.

I just started making them. I cannot bring myself to eat anything else. I gave dh some for breakfast. He has not eaten since. They have a way of filling you up. Now I put a batch with lots of lime juice, celery juice, a little tamari and some hot chili powder. I am so glad that they are easy to make. If I can keep stock of dehydrator crackers/breads on hand it will help all of us so much. I would make even more but I only have 3 of those "fruit roll-up sheets". Well, if I burn out the motor on this machine maybe I can get Alissa's new one. (he he)

Ifind them very "cleansing". I usually end up eating a lot at once when I make them too. I had another rather unappetizing side effect from them as well that I am embarased/grossed out to mention so I won't. But lets just say those flax seeds pass out in the same form as they go in!

Kinda, flax is high in fat and calories, but I guess raw isn't about counting cals.

Luckitri, I say if you're enjoying them & you feel good, then you can never have too many. ;) They sound yummy & spicy. Some year I'll have to get a dehydrator & experiment.

Just wondering.

Yeah. Keep in mind flax is a laxative. For me, anything more than about a 1" piece is too much.

Dehydrated flax can be constipating if you are NOT drinking enough water. Trust me. I was quite scared after having a colonic after a similar incident. I had IMPACTED flax coming out of me. It's really important to drink a lot as it is very condensed, high fiber, with NO liquid. NOT GOOD.
