Howdy...

Okay question... I have read that some grains will go bad if you dehydrate them in certain recipes and go rancid? Or something like that. So if I dehydrated grains etc before hand to have, should I dehydrate the first 2 hours at a higher temp, then lower it after that to insure they dont go bad?

Also, has anyone tried the whole soak for 15 minutes, and then sprout for 1 day ?

Thanks all!

Sprouts are mostly WATER........I guess that is where you are running into trouble. If you want to dehydrate them.....why not do it when there is just a tiny tail. Why not take the Sprouts and put them into a GREEN Smoothie and problem Solved..........

Hope this helped you in some way, if not you have been Bumped up........

Hey...

Yeah that's what I meant. I mean soak, sprout the grains, then they have those tails once sprouted right? Then dehydrate them to have on stock for recipes instead of having to prepare days before hand. I remember rawkin saying this can be done. uh I think!

Well only let the seed sprout a tiny tail, then dehydrate. Make sure there is one layer of seeds on the dehy. sheet. They can go bad if you have them in clumps. You see they must be able to Breath and Dry at the same time.

There is a Section on Sprouting as you enter this Forum.

Sprouting is one of the Cheapest ways to Stay RAW and SOOOOOOOOO Good for you. Get yourself a Quart Jar and a Sprout top or some cheese cloth, make small batches and STUDY them..Soon you will learn much and make Sprout your friends..........Don't forget to Rinse them often....
