My fiance is going out of town and I'll have the apartment all to myself this weekend!! I'm actually looking forward to it.... so I'm going to start the 30 day challenge again on friday (it's like my third time to try it, haven't completed it yet, I will this time!)

I thought over the weekend I could spend time making lots of raw snacks/treats that I could keep over the next few weeks to keep myself from eating anything sad... like maybe crackers or cookies etc.

anyone have any great suggestions?

I'm also going to make some smaller sized pizza crusts and freeze them so when I want something I can take one out and make a pizza quicker.

if anyone has any other suggestions please let me know! I know it may sound silly to some and you may be thinking "just go raw! don't worry about making snacks and stuff to prepare for it"... but I think if I do it this way I might actually make it through the 30 days this time.

If anyone wants to read along with me during the 30 days (starting this friday - tomorrow) feel free to read my journal (link below). Comments are always welcomed!

Thanks!

Good luck with your challenge? I think it makes perfect sense to prepare foods in advance. If you like to eat on the gourmet spectrum, you need to plan ahead. Many is the day when I'd love a glass of nut milk but have no soaked nuts on hand. I'm lucky to live in NYC, where there are so many prepared raw foods available, but of course it's more affordable to prepare foods myself.

Please keep us updated with your progress.

Way to go! And you are SMART to prepare. It can make ALL the difference! I would definitely say CRACKERS. Lots of very tasty crackers! Yum! And some kind of sweet. Because those are what usually "get" people: cravings for something salty/crunchy and cravings for something sweet. Other than that, with the walnut taco meat and the walnut mock salmon pate (each of them like 4 or 5 simple ingredients) and leaves, you can FILL UP on wraps and more very very easily. I have done that before when getting back on the wagon: stocked up on pate' and collards, plus like avocado and tomato and sprouts, and instant awesome wrap! :-)

I'll be following you on your blog, sistah!

Hey there!

Make some cookies (like oatmeal, and chocolate chip) There is a oatmeal recipe link that you could find by using the search button. When I let these go a little longer in the dehydrator (the oatmeal) they were nice and crunchy and they tasted exactly like granola bars. I could definitely crumble them in a bowl with some almond or brazil milk and have it as a cereal. My cookie didn't stick around long enough to do the cereal thing thanks to my sister and nieces and nephew and not to mention - me:D

I am beginning a 30 day challenge tomorrow also.. :) I think I am going to make some oatmeal cookies, the mock tuna and also maybe some crackers... I know that for me, not having any food in the fridge, unless I am fasting lol...is a recipe for cooked disaster...:p

Good Luck with your Challenge!! :D
