Hi everyone,
What an amazing amount of beautiful energy and support you are all giving each other.
I been on and off raw for past almost two years. Longest period was about 8 months on 99% raw. I have been struggling to get back on it during the past week. But i tell you the longer you stay on raw diet, the less you can get away with. The slightest cooked food or bad food combining and i get rashes. i recommend everyone to read the articles on the website www.rawschool.com.
believe me i have read hundreds of articles about raw, and i think this lady has got it right. She is addressing the whole issue of emotional eating and addiction. And how we use food for entertainment purposes.
i thought going raw would finish my habit of overeating, but it didn't. you can still be on 100% raw and be overeating and eating heavy complicated recipes, trying to satisfy your greed or boredom. Also, why do i sometimes slip back to old habits, after periods of 5 or 8 months raw.
Raw food is half the solution, soul searching, eating quietly and having a higher purpose in life is perhaps some of the other half.
The raw journey is a journey towards freedom of the soul. Once you are on it, you may slip back but never for long, the truth of raw eating keep calling you back. you will never really enjoy cooked food in the same way.
I believe that a new age is dawning, and this whole movement towards raw food, is just part of the whole awakening of people, to what is right and natural for the body and soul.
so pleased to see how many of you are listening to your inner voices and embarking on this journey. I really believe, if we can change our eating habits, we can change anything.
I don't know anyone else in Turkey (where i live and teach meditation) or Dubai (where i work as a freelance trainer) who is on Raw. I get my inspiration from the web. My original inspiration was from a 70 year old man called Ayoub Acami, in Lebanon who had been raw for over 25 years, and was so healthy, and spoke so powerfully, i went raw instantly, for 5 months that is.
Would love to hear from anyone, especially anyone in the middle east, or Turkey.
i am from New Zealand originally.
love to you all
