It again, depends on the manufacturer. You would have to check on that. I would suggest if you can't freeze your own, that you at least get organic.

Yes they are.
I used to work in a frozen fruit and vegetable factory.
They aren't blanched very long but they are blanched.
And another thing some people may not know.. ANY foods we packed were packed in low grade bags (generic names) and high end bags (expensive name brands "green giant etc... were all the SAME product that came off the line.. just packaged in different bags.

I thought some fruits were blanched but berries were flash frozen. (blanching them for even a second would yield mush)

You're still better off freezing your own. I freeze everything. Pineapple, melon, grapes, berries, peaches, apples, bananas in their skins, (which you can then put in a bowl with water and the skin will slide off, plus they don't turn brown), lots of stuff.
Uh-oh - I haven't seen my little doggies lately!
::running off to check the freezer::

I normally peel my bananas and either freeze them whole or chop them (depending on how lazy or non lazy I am) before doing so. it makes me able to process them into icecream or smoothies instantly.

Most fruit is NOT blanched. it would not hold up once defrosted.
I am not sure if it was on this board but there was a thread where someone contacted some companies & they replied that they are not blanched...???

This is BEYOOTIFUL:
animals are living beings who have feelings and the god-given right to live their lives in loving peace. Domain does not mean eat the fleash and use the courps for fashion! >< they have feelings, such as feeling love, care, and concern, and feeling hurt, pain, and turtore.
may peace be with them, and bless the efforts of those who care to speek up for our sisters and brothers who can't. ^.^
Thank YOU for being such a wonderful voice! I believe being vegan is MORE important than being raw. Isn't that crazy? Vegan is essential, raw is wise. More raw leaders need to incorporate the message of full veganism, as many are still supporting disease, torture, and ravishing the earth with their clothing and product choices. THANK YOU AGAIN!

I swear to gawd! It must be all in the mind. But I agree.. I always thought there was a quality difference until I saw them being packed all the same.. Then I decided to shop mostly generic brands if its going to be all the same food anyway. Whats in a label? LOL :p
