Hi guys,
Just in case any one missed it, Natural Balance cat and dog food is now being recalled. It's a shame too b/c it is organic and contains no wheat gluten...so a lot of people switched to it after the last big scare. My mom's cat almost died from Iams and now all 3 of her cats have been throwing up from the Natural Balance...so much so that yesterday she decided to switch to another food. And today it got recalled for caused stomach problems. Scary! I'm afraid of all the food now. I had felt confident in the Natural Balance.

We are about to lose our dog because of tainted food. :(
Mario is a 120lb Black German Shepard, he's 8 and the best dog I ever had.
We just found out yesterday he is in kidney failure and has 2 months max.
My heart is broken ... I love that dog.
If there is a class action law suit they can count me in. As a matter of fact my ex is an attorney maybe we will start this ourselves.
I also have fears this is going to be in humans food supply next. Thank God I am allergic to gluten.
Please all pet owners use caution when feeding your pets commercial pet food.

Seasidedaisy: I'm so sorry to hear about your dog! Have you tried taking him to a specialist vet to be sure they're doing everything? :(
I think I may order a cat cookbook off amazon. It's too scary! Pet food is completely unregulated.
So do you cats like the stuff you cook? Judging by how much of my food my cats try and eat, I think they would be in heaven!

Doctor Pitcairn's Guide to Natural Health for Dogs and Cats is really, really good and has recipes for food. :)

Hmm, apparently caused by a rice protein. I don't know if this rice was organic, but I have been doing some research and it's not pretty. There was a strain of genetically modified rice in the United States not too long ago. I get hives when I eat non-organic rice. Apparently Rice also contains some arsenic. I think it is possible there could be some genetically modified food stuff that is being consumed and causing many symptoms that no one would even think to connect the dots. Animals are so in tune when it comes to this stuff and if they had a choice they wouldn't eat it.
